TASK
Studying for a degree means a lot of hard work but there’s also plenty of time to relax and enjoy yourself. As members of Students’ Union you’re responsible for organising Freshers’ Week events for new and returning students to introduce university community and services and to help them settle in. Discuss your ideas and express preferences with other members of your group and then write a formal email to Vice Chancellor to present your proposal and ask for financial support.
Dear vice Chancellor
In the name of the Students' Union to show our propositions about upcoming Freesher’s Week. We came up with a few ideas.
Firstly we would like to organize an integration picnic. That could be a good way for everyone to get to know each other. We can add some group games to put everyone in a happy mood. In college it is important to make friends and it will be a great chance to do it.
We are also considering making a tour around the University.We would like new students to know what real science is, so we would invite famous scientists to introduce them to it while making a tour.
But to make this dream Freesher’s Week come true money is needed. The cost of this event would be approximately 1 million złoty. We can’t afford that so we were hoping that you could help us with financial support. We are looking forward to your response.
